When Manhattan engulfs me (2nd part)
After Times Square’s crowd, we are looking for a quiet place to chill out a bit. Central park seems to be the perfect spot for that. I haven’t expected so much nature in the heart of the city. What a contrast with the surroundings.
We can do everything here. We play, we get married, we jog and we let our hair down too…
We keep walking around, looking for indicative pictures of New Yorkers.
There is a place of which I have heard a lot about. It is the High Line. Here the city gets back to a human scale and I like that.
If you want to know more about it, I lately posted a portfolio about the High Line on urbaparis.com.
I really liked both aspects of Manhattan, a borough stuck in everybody’s mind but also a surprising borough, with quiet and hidden places.
