Pushkar and the magic lake
We are still in the Rajasthan state, in the city of Pushkar. Honestly, I don’t know why we have come here. Looking at the city setting doesn’t inspire me so much.
I remember. It started with a legend that I read, about the city and its magic lake. It was told that God Brahmā, a hindu god, throwing a lotus flower in the lake gave the city all the resources required to develop. There was, in that story, everything to enchant me.
Once you are on site, the magic has been blown away. I don’t feel anything, not even the view on the damaged houses surrounding the lake is pleasant. I can’t disguise my disappointment.
Fortunately people are always a source of curiosity for me. I could watch them for hours.
For want of amazing us, Pushkar is a resting stage. We still have a 2 week trip to go. We are looking forward reaching our next stop, the Taj Mahal, certainly one of the highlights of our journey.
